Samsung Flash Drive Data Recovery

We have developed an in-house solution for getting near perfect data recoveries from Silicon Motion based SM3280 based controllers used in commonly flash drives like the Samsung Bar, Samsung Duo, Samsung Plus, and Samsung Fit monolithic flash drives.

Traditional tools by other data recovery companies small and large are only able to get partial or corrupt recoveries because the drive uses page level addressing combined with a lazy form of garbage collection.

Essentially there are numerous data conflicts that can’t be reconciled with any tools on the market but our in-house utility. Imagine creating a text document and making a modification. From the raw output of the memory chip there is no way to tell which modification is current.

We developed an algorithm that emulates the pattern in which data is written to the flash drive by the SM3280 controller to identify the most current sector modifications and recreate a perfect image of the flash drives contents.
